If you plan to learn in public in 2025, spend more time learning than sharing.

Don't get me wrong, it is good, in fact great, that you are sharing things as you learn; but make sure that the time you spend learning is substantially more than what you spend on crafting social media posts and writing blogs.

Remember, the leverage of being a better engineer >>> "influencer".

I share my learning to spark curiosity and broaden perspectives, but my top priority is always staying true and focused on what I set out to learn. Here are a few things I follow and would recommend to you all to maximize your learning

1. narrow your focus to 4 topics (max) for the year
2. learn only within these topics, stay intentional
3. prioritize concepts and resources that take you one level deeper
4. don't stop until you’ve built true intuition
5. create quick prototypes to solidify your understanding
6. take quick and short notes in your favorite note-taking app
7. apply a depth-first approach and learn as you go

Once you truly understand things end-to-end, then share it on social media - it's worth the wait. As a guideline, aim to spend no more than 15 minutes on a social post and 24 hours on a detailed blog. Keep the focus on learning, not perfecting content.

I hope this year sparks even greater curiosity and helps you develop a deep, genuine love for the domain, beyond just transactional goals. Wishing you all the best with your learning!

Engineering is beautiful, so be curious, dig deeper, and have fun :)
